Belle Epoque

This house is a unique project where classical history and high art blend harmoniously with the modern world. The interiors of the estate comprise an eclectic collection of rare antiques, collectable design pieces and masterpieces of painting.

It seems it have lived a long life - home is filled with portraits of long-forgotten relatives, landscapes of old family estates, collections of trinkets and fine art, and family icons that shield its inhabitants from the stormy winds of change, which, incidentally, have left these rooms untouched.

Belle Epoque

For example, the large living room is a collection of unique antiques and designer pieces. The antique fireplace was purchased at an English auction; a collection of 17th-century Italian paintings, the highlight of which is a work by Carlo Francesco Nuvolone, sits alongside sculptures by E. Neizvestny and M. Shemyakin, whilst a chest of drawers by the renowned Art Deco master Belmondo is displayed alongside furniture by Giorgetti and BelCor. The six-metre-high windows, draped in sumptuous fabrics from French manufacturers, lend this room a special charm. The hall neighbors the staircase, and the rhythm set by the wrought-iron banister is echoed in the wrought-iron details of the corbels and the hall cupboard, where modernity meets history. Valery Koshlyakov’s work ‘Venus’, from the series ‘Heads of Heroes’, overlooks the 17th-century masterpieces in the living room, and the piece itself invites us to play with classical artistic imagery within a new, contemporary reality.
