A&A Interior Gallery invites you to the opening of the exhibition Elea. Mediterranean code. Painting by Irina Korsakova which will be accompanied by a special event organised with the partnership support of Biologique Recherche Paris and as a tribute to Made in NY Jazz Festival (Porto Montenegro).
June 25, 19.00 – the official ceremony of the opening and jazz-style musical performance by Ekaterina Venter (mezzo-soprano).
The olive tree, as a symbol of the origins of European civilisation, which emerged on the shores of the Mediterranean, is closely linked to our perception of the roots of culture and the arts. The dove brought Noah an olive branch; Heracles performed his feats in olive groves – these are all images upon which our civilisation’s worldview is based. Therefore, in modern painting, the olive is not merely a symbol of beauty and endurance, but also of the continuity of time.
Irina Korsakova was born in 1960 in Moscow. Her father, the renowned graphic artist Leonid Korsakov, was not merely a teacher, but also a kindred spirit and a guide to the world of art. Irina graduated from the Moscow Academic Art School. After leaving the school, she worked in easel graphic art. From 1980, she took part in exhibitions organised by the Union of Artists of the USSR. From 1991, she turned to painting. In 1993, she joined the Moscow Union of Artists. Lives and works in both Russia and Montenegro.
Special Event in tribute to Made in NY Jazz Festival - jazz-style musical performance by Ekaterina Venter (mezzo-soprano)
Ekaterina has a touching, powerful operatic voice. She has an authentic knowledge of African and American music that allows her to convey the colours and accents of unique images. Venter takes an active part in creative productions at international venues, solo programs, and also performs with leading vocalists from Russia and Europe.
This special event will be organised with the support of the gallery’s partner Biologique Recherche Paris and will also feature the introduction of Biologique Recherche’s SPECTRAL Serum — an innovative product inspired by light.
