“The very metaphysical nature of the need for artistic work requires an analytical approach toward the world and reality around us, which unavoidably and naturally makes man a subject of this analysis. The known and necessary social connections, which are inevitably created between people, like brain synapses, form a network which enables a person to function as a living being. The cause-and-effect nature of this network encourages a person to create, to love, to suffer, to hate, to feel scared, to fight… Exploring people, human’s and objective human nature as a visual fact reflecting the psychological and the spiritual dimension, with their specific place in space and time where a person lives, moves and exists, taking into account the fact that the context of a certain time with its culture also initiates and shapes reactions, I strive to find answers to questions about processes and changes occurring within myself, in my own relationships with the world and with people. Well aware of the Sisyphean nature of this work, but nevertheless immensely enjoying the observation process, I picture what I encounter. A portrait always provides a new insight into visual and other kinds of facts, thanks to the very truth that every person, just like any moment in life, is unique”
