“Introduction to the Aesthetics of Japanese Art” is a lecture on schools of traditional Japanese painting, as seen in Anna Kudryavtseva’s works exhibited at A&A Interiors. We will look at how the artistic heritage of China was preserved and expanded upon in Japan, and how the concepts of Japanese aesthetics can be compared to some currents trends in contemporary art.

Presented in English and Russian.

Danslav Slavenskoj — is a graduate of Harvard University, where he wrote about Japanese political philosophy, while studying kendo and Japanese tea ceremony.
