Finland, a small country on the outskirts of Europe, has radically changed the world's understanding of design. The design has become part of Finnish national culture. Why did this happen? How did a culture with a strange and complex language become the leader of world design?
Many people interested in design know the names of Alvar Aalto and Eero Saarinen. These are undoubtedly key figures in Finnish design. But who are the people who create the mass phenomenon of Finnish design? Why are their names not known?
How did Finnish design influence American presidential elections?
How was Finnish design the first to encounter "cancel culture"?
And how does Finnish design influence the global agenda now?
We will tell you about this complex and multi-layered phenomenon!
