“The Fuchs Mystery. Art of Fantastic Realism”
The exhibition will be dedicated to the works of the famous Austrian artist Ernst Fuchs (1930-2015), one of the most famous representatives of (post-)surrealism. Fuchs was a painter, illustrator, engraver, sculptor, architect, scenographer, composer, poet and singer.
He was one of the founders of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism. Working for many years in Paris and Monaco, Ernst Fuchs was friends with Salvador Dalí and Jean Cocteau. His works have been on display at the Ernst Fuchs Museum in Vienna at the historic Otto Wagner Villa since 1988.
