The story of this velvet is akin to the creation of the Innate collection itself. The desire was to create a superbly thick and luxurious velvet in a rich rust tone. Italy's premium velvet weaver realised the weave… but achieving the colour was a whole other story. Australia’s desert heart achieved its iconic red colour from the ‘rusting’ of its vast inland seas. That rust colour is not something contemporary dyers entirely understand … but we persevered.
